Why does flying have to be such a drag? I mean nothing out of the ordinary happened other than the normal rudeness from Air Canada, the security people, late boarding, late take offs and even though I’m sure planes haven’t changed in the past 10 years they pack us in like sardines! Oh well, thankfully it was only a 1 hour flight so it wasn’t too bad.
The Yardbird Suite is a fantastic club in Edmonton that has been here for many years. It was unfortunate that there were barely 30 people there and even that is a stretch. This has certainly been the the tour of small audiences. Hopefully we can redeem ourselves tonight with a better crowd. It was the first night of recording and after the gig I was quite disappointed but upon listening back to almost the whole night after the gig I think there was some great music. It’s really rare that you listen that quickly after a recording. We couldn’t help ourselves while we were getting all rocked up in our hotel room and eating perhaps the worst pizza I’ve ever had in my life (thanks Jesse….just kidding). The stuff sounds good!
Doing an interview with Adrian Albert (member of the Yardbird Suite team) on the radio today. Good times!
