KEEZER

Some beautiful solo piano work at the club by GEOFFREY KEEZER.  Hard to explain what made it so special.  Geoffery combined a lot of the elements that make up MYJAZZ.  He also happens to be a fantastic guy as well.  IMG_1851

  1. Geoffrey really put the Cellar’s new piano to the test.. eh?
Another highlight of this years lineup. Simply wonderful. The audience was spell bound.

The idea of playing pop music covers as jazz would normally turn me off, but Keezer can do it with skill and taste. However, his interpretation of Monk’s “Coming On The Hudson” showed that Keezer still has pure jazz in his veins.

Hope he comes again; perhaps in a trio setting with, say, Jodi Proznick on bass and Bernie Arai on drums.
